Gordon English
Gordon W. English is the president of TranSys Research Ltd. Following 4 years with industry, Mr. English gained 20 years of railway research and consulting experience, much of it in directing multi-disciplinary research programs. His areas of specialization include system engineering, operations analysis, motive power, signal and control system technology, electrification and railway safety. Mr. English has been directly responsible for the development of several operations-related models, including the Propulsion Analysis Package, Analytic Line Model and Operations Simulation Models. He has been involved in several transportation policy reviews and was Director of Research for the Canadian Transportation Safety Board Act Review Commission. Mr. English is a Professional Engineer (registered in Ontario) and holds a B.Sc.(E.E.) from the University of Manitoba and an MBA from Queen's University.
